Hello! I am glad you are visiting this page! Here I placed a few interactive puzzles for children of age 5 and up. Click the pictures and try to solve!

We all think about what makes a “quality education” and how to teach our children to arm them with the knowledge and skills that will prepare them the best for life, and will make them successful in their future endeavours.

I believe that the one of the goals of the best education is arming our children with knowledge and the ability to apply it creatively to everything they do. In a perfect world, schools and teachers should develop their students' “critical thinking” abilities, help them to discover their own deep interests and provide them with the knowledge necessary to develop these abilities further, to free their minds from purely consuming values and monetary purposes.

In my opinion Mathematics is one of the subjects that contributes to the development of children’s analytical and thinking abilities. So what can a parent and teacher do to help children develop an inquisitive mind? Here are a few:

  • asking children questions instead of providing them with the answers
  • guiding children to the right solution instead of telling them what to do
  • involving children in non-standard and inquiry-based problem solving
  • showing children different methods and approaches to solving a problem
  • simply asking children “Why do you think this way?”

As a result, children will gain a better understanding of their mental processes, which will help them in every subject field in the future.
